About the Plan Finder
Where does this plan information come from?
From the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contract year 2027 Landscape and Plan Benefit Package files (September 2026 release). This is the same benefit data plans file with Medicare. We show in-network cost sharing for individual plans and exclude Special Needs Plans.
Is this everything about each plan?
No. It’s a summary of the most-asked-about benefits. Copays can vary by service, setting, and tier, and some benefits need prior authorization. Before you enroll, review the plan’s Summary of Benefits and Evidence of Coverage. We can walk you through them.
Can I check whether my doctors are in network?
Provider networks aren’t part of the CMS data. Call us and we’ll check your doctors and hospital against each plan’s directory before you choose.
Why aren’t star ratings shown?
Medicare publishes star ratings for the 2027 plan year separately each fall. We’ll add them when they’re released.
How are the drug cost estimates calculated?
Add your prescriptions and we estimate a year of 30-day fills on each plan: the plan’s drug deductible, its 2027 copays and coinsurance by tier, the $2,400 yearly out-of-pocket cap, and the $35 monthly insulin cap. Drug lists and prices come from CMS Part D formulary and pricing files. They are estimates; call us and we’ll confirm your exact costs and pharmacy before you enroll.
What does the drug tier column mean?
It’s what you pay for a one-month supply at a preferred retail pharmacy after any deductible. A percentage means coinsurance, a share of the drug’s cost. Your actual cost depends on your specific drugs.
